My Favorite View Today: Leesburg Premium Outlets

We are blessed to live less than a mile from the Leesburg Premium Outlets. I don't venture over there often, but when I do, amazing deals can be found! Today for $35 I bought my little princess a Vera Bradley lunchbox, an Aeropostal skirt, and a yummylicious bag of freshly made kettle corn. The best part though wasn't what we bought. It was the time we spent, hand in hand, walking through this beautiful hometown mall together. Her smile was my favorite view today. ~

My Favorite View Today: Mamoun's Falafel

One of the things I love most about my husband is how cultural he is. Jonathan is familiar with the best foods from many regions throughout the world, as well as where to find those dishes right here in the U.S. A few years ago, Jonathan introduced me to the falafel sandwich, a ground chickpeas patty deep fried then paired with a yogurt sauce, lettuce, tomato, and onions all stuffed into a pita. Falafels can be found in many Greek or Middle Eastern restaurants in this country, but it is not every day that you can have a falafel from a restaurant listed in 1,000 Places You Should See Before You Die. Today we drove a little out of our way to dine at the New Haven Mamoun's Falafel Restaurant. We topped the world famous falafels with Mamoun's ghost pepper hot sauce and even secured a jar to bring home. The recipe is so top secret it was sold to us in an unlabeled mason jar! My favorite view today was staring down into my falafel sandwich, but whoops, I forgot to snap a picture! So my husband took a shot of us outside the restaurant after our bellies were full. ~
